     Benjamin Franklin Kime Jr. began military service on 22 August 1862 at Waterloo, Seneca County, New York. He enlisted as a Private in Company I, New York 126th Infantry Regiment on 22 Aug 1862 and was promoted to Full Corporal on 31 Dec 1863.³
     Benjamin Franklin died of disease on 3 October 1864 at Hospital near Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 28. He had been a Corporal for the Union during the Civil War.³ He was buried in the Glenwood Cemetery, located at Geneva, Ontario County, New York.
