     Catherine Bowser was christened on 10 September 1798 at Washington County, Maryland.1 She was born on Saturday, 10 November 1798 Washington County, Maryland.2,3,4
     At age 20, Catherine Bowser married first Phillip Stinebaugh, son of (?) Stinebaugh, on Tuesday, 29 June 1819 Washington County, Maryland.
     In the will of John Bowser dated 2 January 1824, Catherine Stinebaugh was named as an heir. She was named as Catherin, wife of Phillip Stinebough.5
     John Bowser and Magdalena Bowser relocated at Seneca County, Ohio, in April 1829.3
     Her husband, Phillip, died say 1833, leaving Catherine as a widow.
     In the will of Phillip Stinebaugh dated 9 January 1833, Catherine Stinebaugh was named as an heir.6,5
     Catherine Stinebaugh was the executrix of Phillip Stinebaugh's estate on 3 October 1833 Seneca County, Ohio.6,5
     Catherine Stinebaugh married second Henry McCartney (II), son of Henry McCartney (I) and Nancy Kidd, say 1834 Seneca County, Ohio.2,4,3 Catherine McCartney was probably included as a free white female, age forty to fifty years old, in the household of Henry McCartney (given age 40-50) on the 1840 Census on 1 June 1840 at Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio.7,8
     Her husband, Henry, died on 19 January 1842 at Republic, Seneca County, Ohio, at age 50, leaving Catherine as a widow.2,3,4,1
     At age 46, Catherine McCartney married third Henry Young on Sunday, 15 December 1844 Seneca County, Ohio.4,9,3 Catherine Young (given age 50) was listed as a household member living with Henry Young (given age 54) on the 1850 Census on 2 August 1850 at Clinton Township, Seneca County, Ohio.10 Catherina Young (given age 62) was listed as a household member living with Henry Young (given age 62) on the 1860 Census on 30 June 1860 Clinton Township, Seneca County, Ohio.11
     Her husband, Henry, died on 18 February 1862, leaving Catherine as a widow.
     The 1870 US Census enumerated her as Catharine Young (given age 71), the head of household Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio, on 30 July 1870. Georg Young (given age 32), Eliza Young (given age 30), Frank Young (given age 8), Oliea Young (given age 7) and Kattie Young (given age 2) were listed as household members. Audrey McCartney (given age 35) was listed as her neighbor.12
     Catherine died on 18 January 1871 at Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio, at age 72. She died at the home of her son, G.W. McCartney.2,4,3,1
     Catherine's obituary appeared on 27 January 1871, in the Seneca Advertiser, published at Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. As listed in the obituary, Catherine was survived by, her son, George Washington McCartney.6 Her estate was probated in 1871.13
