     Amasa C. Leddick was born in August 1849 at Livingston County, New York. Amasa Lydie (given age 8 months) was listed as a household member living with Peter Lydie (given age 31) on the 1850 Census on 5 August 1850 at Mount Morris, Livingston County, New York.1 Amesey Ledick (given age 9) was listed as a household member living with Peter Ledick (given age 45) on the 1860 Census on 23 June 1860 at Canton, Wayne County, Michigan.2 Amasa Lyddick (given age 19) was listed as a household member living with Peter Lyddick (given age 53) on the 1870 Census on 12 July 1870 at Fulton Township, Gratiot County, Michigan.3
     At age 24, Amasa C. Leddick married Sarah A. Painter on Thursday, 26 February 1874 at Ithaca, Gratiot County, Michigan.4
     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as Amasa Leddick (given age 30), the head of household Fulton Township, Gratiot County, Michigan, on 2 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Sarahern Leddick (given age 29), his sons, Clayton Leddick (given age 6) and Emerson Leddick (given age 5), his daughter, Mary Leddick (given age 1) .5
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as Amasa Leddick (given age 50), the head of household Fulton Township, Gratiot County, Michigan, on 12 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Sarah A. Leddick (given age 50), his sons, Clayton P. Leddick (given age 25) and Loyd P. Leddick (given age 19), his daughters, Mary Leddick (given age 24) and Mitta V. Leddick (given age 7) .6
     The 1910 US Census enumerated him as Arcasa Leddick (given age 60), the head of household Fulton Township, Gratiot County, Michigan, on 7 May 1910. Also living in the household were his wife, Sarah A. Leddick (given age 59), his daughter, Wealthy U. Leddick (given age 17) .7
     The 1920 US Census enumerated him as Amasa Leddick (given age 70), the head of household Fulton Township, Gratiot County, Michigan, on 14 February 1920. Also living in the household was his wife, Sarah A. Leddick (given age 69).8
