     The 1850 US Census enumerated him as Daniel B. Rice (given age 34), the head of household at Whitley County, Indiana, on 8 October 1850. Rosannah Rice (given age 32), James A. Rice (given age 9), Henry Rice (given age 6) and Ezra Rice (given age 4) were listed as household members. Daniel was self employed as a farmer.3
     Daniel Buck Rice married second Mary J. (?) say 1867.
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as Daniel Rice (given age 84), the head of household at Osakis, Douglas County, Minnesota, on 20 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Mary J. Rice (given age 59).4
     Daniel Buck died on 14 July 1901 Osakis, Douglas County, Minnesota, at age 85.1
