     The 1850 US Census enumerated him as Albert Sherman, the head of household Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island, on 24 July 1850. Sarah C. Sherman (given age 32) and Albert Sherman Jr. (given age 6) were listed as household members. Albert was employed as a Dry Goods Dealer.3
     The 1860 US Census enumerated him as Albert Sherman (given age 45), the head of household Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island, on 16 July 1860. Sarah C. Sherman (given age 42), Albert R. Sherman (given age 16), Maria Holt (given age 69), Harriet Holt (given age 56), Sarah A. Marble (given age 61), Betsey Marble (given age 37), Sophia D. Marble (given age 27) and Annie A. Marble (given age 24) were listed as household members.4
     The 1870 US Census enumerated him as Albert Sherman (given age 54), the head of household Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island, on 9 July 1870. Sarah C. Sherman (given age 52), Albert K. Sherman (given age 26), Sarah A. Marble (given age 71), Betsey Marble (given age 42), Sophia D. Marble (given age 34), Anna Marble (given age 31) and Harriet Holt (given age 64) were listed as household members. Albert was employed as a Dry Goods Dealer.5
     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as Albert Sherman (given age 64), the head of household at 239 Thames Street, Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island, on 1 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Sarah C. Sherman (given age 62), his sisters-in-law, Sophia D. Marble (given age 47) and Annie Marble (given age 44), his aunt, Harriet W. Holt (given age 73) . Albert K. Sherman (given age 36) was listed as his neighbor. Albert was employed as a Dry Goods Dealer.6
     Albert died on 30 June 1888 Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island, at age 72 leaving Sarah Catherine as a widow.2 Albert Sherman was buried in the Island Cemetery, located at Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.2
