     Charles Wells Griswold was born on Wednesday, 1 December 1841 at Wapole, Illinois.
     Charles Wells Griswold married Angeline Worthington, daughter of Charles Worthington and Caroline Dimm, say 1865.
     The 1870 US Census enumerated him as Charles W. Griswold (given age 29), the head of household at Wakarusa Township, Douglas County, Kansas, on 12 August 1870. Angeline Griswold (given age 23), Cora N. Griswold (given age 2) and Gilbert E. Griswold (given age 1) were listed as household members.1
     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as Charles Griswold (given age 38), the head of household at Rock Creek Township, Cowley County, Kansas, on 14 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Angeline Griswold (given age 34), his sons, Gilbert E. Griswold (given age 10) and Geo. G. Griswold (given age 2), his daughters, Cora A. Griswold (given age 12), Effie E. Griswold (given age 8) and Clara D. Griswold (given age 6) .2
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as Charles W. Griswold (given age 58), the head of household at Tecumseh Township, Shawnee County, Kansas, on 30 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Elizabeth A. Griswold (given age 53), his daughters, Effie L. Griswold (given age 27), Disa Griswold (given age 15) and Edna C. Griswold (given age 12) .3
     Charles Wells died on 3 February 1933 at Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, at age 91.

     Jennie Drebelbess married Charles L. Worthington, son of Charles Worthington and Caroline Dimm, say 1892. Jennie R. Worthington (given age 34) was listed as the wife of Charles L. Worthington (given age 41) on the 1900 Census recorded 2 June 1900 at Monmouth, Shawnee County, Kansas.2
     Jennie died on 26 February 1905 at age 39 leaving Charles L. as a widower.1 Jennie Drebelbess was buried in the Bauer Cemetery, located at Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas.1,3
