He was employed as a Sailor on the Great Lakes.⁴ Elmer Wolvin (given age 15) was listed as the son of John Wolvin (given age 77) on the 1920 Census recorded 3 January 1920 at 535 West Reiler Side, St. Clair, St. Clair County, Michigan. He was a Sailor on the Lakes.⁵
     At age 35, Elmer Ballamay Wolvin (given age 34) married Winnie Fae Schamplo (given age 29), daughter of Peter Burton Schamplo and Emma J Gilbert, on Saturday, 12 November 1921 at Hudson, Hillsdale County, Michigan.⁶
