     Emily Foster arrived at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, aboard the Cymric on 12 July 1907. Her intended destination was 40 School Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island - the home of her brother John Brown. She sailed from Liverpool, England on 3 Jul 1907.3,1
     Emily Foster married first John Willard Sherman, age 25, son of Clarence Elmer Sherman and Frances Augustus Forbus, in August 1908 at Pawtucket, Providence County, Rhode Island.1 Emily Foster gave birth to a child, Ellen May Sherman, who was born on Tuesday, 11 May 1909 at Rhode Island.1,2,4 Emily Sherman (given age 22) was listed as the wife of John Willard Sherman on the 1910 Census recorded 20 April 1910 at 112 Denver Street, Pawtucket, Providence County, Rhode Island.5 Emily Foster gave birth to a child, Robert Sherman, who was born say 1911.1 Emily Foster gave birth to a child, Mary F. Brown (given age 48) on the 1930 Census recorded 5 April 1930 at 10 Crescent Avenue, East Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.9 Emily Brown was named as a person who would always know an address for Arthur Carrington Brown on his WWII draft registration on 26 April 1942 at County Street, Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.10
     Emily died in March 1956 at age 68.1 She was buried in the family plot, located at Rhode Island.1
