     The 1870 US Census enumerated him as Alonzo Lester (given age 44), the head of household Medina Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 24 July 1870.      The 1900 US Census enumerated him as Alonzo Lester (given age 74), the head of household at Seneca Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 25 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Margaret J. Lester (given age 69). Alonzo was employed as a mail carrier.5
     Alonzo died on 19 April 1905 Seneca Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, at age 79 leaving Margaret J. as a widow.1 Alonzo Lester was buried on Sunday, 23 April 1905 in the Oak Grove Cemetery, located at Morenci, Lenawee County, Michigan.1
