Also living in the household were his wife, Mae Kinney (given age 19), his daughter, Pearl J. Kinney (given age 1 month), his grandmother, Caroline Roundy (given age 57) . John was employed as a broom maker in a broom factory.1
     The 1930 US Census enumerated him as John Kenney (given age 36), the head of household at 2808 73rd Street, Elmwood Park, Cook County, Illinois, on 11 April 1930. Also living in the household were his wife, Mae Kenney (given age 30), his son, Marvin Kenney (given age 5), his daughters, Pearl Kenney (given age 12) and Elaine Kenney (given age 6 months), his father-in-law, Otto Radditz (given age 53) . John was employed as a factory laborer.2
     John Kenny (given age 48) registered for the civilian draft for WW II on 27 April 1942, while residing at 2146 South Harvey Avenue, Berwyn, Cook County, Illinois. Mae Kenny was named as a person who would always know his address. John was unemployed.3
