Jonathan Rose Dimm 1830-1920
     Rev. Jonathan Rose Dimm was born on Saturday, 28 August 1830 at Hughesville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was probably included as a free white male, newborn to 5 years old,, in the household of Simon Dimm (given age 40-49) on the 1830 Census in September 1830 at Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 Jonathan Dimm was probably included as a free white male, age five to ten years old, in the household of Simon Dimm (given age 50-59) on the 1840 Census on 15 August 1840 at Wolf Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 Jonothan Dimm (given age 20) was listed as a household member living with Peter B. Reeber (given age 26) on the 1850 Census on 24 September 1850 at Muncy Borough, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was a Blacksmith.3 Jonathan Dimm graduated from Pennsylvania College at Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in 1857.
     Rev. Jonathan Rose Dimm married Mary C. Hill, daughter of John Hill and Catharine Steck, in 1859 at Pennsylvania.
     The 1860 US Census enumerated him as J. R. Dimm (given age 30), the head of household at Bloom Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, on 27 June 1860. Mary C. Dimm (given age 25), Sarah A. Dimm (given age 3mo.), Simon Dimm (given age 77) and Phebe Boyler (given age 24) were listed as household members. J. was employed as a Clergyman.4
     The 1870 US Census enumerated him as Joathan Dimm (given age 39), the head of household at Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on 19 July 1870. Mary Dimm (given age 35), Maggie Dimm (given age 9), Charles Dimm (given age 6), Evangaline Dimm (given age 5), Martha Dimm (given age 3) and Minerva Luarm (given age 18) were listed as household members. Joathan was employed as a Lutheran Minister.5
     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as Johnathon Dimm (given age 49), the head of household at Lutherville, Baltimore County, Maryland, on 25 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Mary C. Dimm (given age 44), his son, Charles Dimm (given age 17), his daughters, Maggie L. Dimm (given age 19), Evangaline Dimm (given age 15) and Martha E. Dimm (given age 13) , a servant, Hannah Howard. Johnathon was employed as a Minister and Teacher.6,7
     Rev. Jonathan Rose Dimm was a President in 1894 Missionary Institute of Selins Grove, located at Selinsgrove, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. That institution subsequently developed into the Susquehanna University.
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as Jonathan Dimm (given age 69), the head of household at Pleasant Street, Selinsgrove, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, on 13 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Mary C. Dimm (given age 65), his daughter, Martha E. Dimm (given age 32) . Jonathan was employed as a Professor of Political Economy.8,9
     The 1910 US Census enumerated him as Jonathan R. Dimm (given age 79), the head of household at West Walnut Street, Selinsgrove, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, on 30 April 1910. Also living in the household were his wife, Mary C. Dimm (given age 74), his daughter, Martha E. Dimm (given age 40) . Jonathan was employed as a Clergyman.10
     Rev. Jonathan Rose Dimm lived in August 1917 Pennsylvania. He was listed in the obituary of George Thomas Dimm on 23 August 1917, in the Clyde Enterprise, published at Clyde, Sandusky County, Ohio, as a surviving brother.11
     Jonathan Rose died on 13 March 1920 Selinsgrove, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, at age 89.

     At age 24, Henry Dimm married Susan Wilt, age 20 on Sunday, 3 May 1801 at Pfoutz Valley, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
     Henry died on 10 October 1846 at Greenwood, Juniata County, Pennsylvania, at age 70.

     Dietrich Peter Dimm was born on Thursday, 19 May 1774 at Hamburg, Berks County, Province of Pennsylvania, British America, (now Pennsylvania).1
     Dietrich Peter Dimm married Mary Catherine Beeber say 1803 at Pennsylvania.1
     His wife, Mary, died on 18 May 1848 at Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 63, leaving Dietrich Peter as a widower.1,2
     The 1850 US Census enumerated him as Peter Dimm (given age 76), the head of household Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, on 19 August 1850. John Dimm (given age 33) was listed as a household member. Jacob Dimm (given age 36) was listed as his neighbor. Peter was employed as a Widower and a Farmer.3
     Dietrich Peter died on 20 July 1855 Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 81.1,2 He was buried in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, located at Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2

     Jacob died on 1 March 1812 at age 30.1 He was buried in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, located at Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His tombstone inscription reads: In Memory of Jacob Dimm, who was born on the 15th day of May Anno Domini 1781, and departed this Life on the 1st day of March AD 1812, Aged 30 Years, 9 months & 15 days.1

Dimm (given age 45+) on the 1810 Census on 6 August 1810 at Turbot Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.2
     Elizabeth Dimm married Col. Jacob Beeber circa 1819. Elizabeth Beeber (given age 56) was listed as a household member living with Jacob Beeber (given age 64) on the 1850 Census on 13 August 1850 at Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
     Elizabeth died on 15 April 1880 at Pennsylvania.4 She was buried in the Muncy Cemetery, located at Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her tombstone inscription reads: wife of Col. J. Beeber, died April 15, 1880, in her 88th year.4
