     James Stewart Dimm was born on Tuesday, 16 October 1883 at Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio, son of C. A. and Cora P. (Stewert).1,2,3,4 He was listed as the grandson of Nancy Stewart (given age 67) on the 1900 Census recorded 1 June 1900 Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio.5 James Stewart Dimm was listed in the obituary of Nancy Stewart on 23 November 1905, in the Green Springs Echo, published at Green Springs, Seneca County, Ohio, as a surviving grandchild.6
     At age 26, James Stewart Dimm married Ida D. Williams, daughter of Charles Williams and Cora B. Saliers, on Sunday, 27 March 1910. James S. Dimm (given age 26) was listed as the son-in-law of Charles Williams (given age 49) on the 1910 Census recorded 20 April 1910 at Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio.7
     James Stewart Dimm (given age 34) registered for the World War I civilian draft on 12 September 1918, while residing at 235 Circular Street, Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. Ida D. Dimm was named as his nearest relative. James was employed, as a Machinist's Helper, at the National Machinery Company, Greenfield, Tiffin, Ohio.1

     The 1920 US Census enumerated him as James S. Dimm (given age 36), the head of household at 213 Circular Street, Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio, on 8 January 1920. Also living in the household were his wife, Iva Dimm (given age 30), his daughter, Pauline Dimm (given age 9) . James was employed as a Laborer.8
     James Stewart Dimm lived in December 1926 at 379 East Perry Street, Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. He was listed in the obituary of Charles A. Dimm on 3 December 1926, in the Tiffin Tribune, published at Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio, as a surviving son.6
     The 1930 US Census enumerated him as James W. Dimm (given age 46), the head of household Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio, on 21 April 1930. Also living in the household were his wife, Iva B. Dimm (given age 40), his daughter, Pauline V. Corfman (given age 19), his son-in-law, Arthur J. Corfman (given age 26) . James was employed as a Machinist in a Factory.9
     James Stewart died of Angina Pectoris on 16 August 1938 Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio, at age 54 leaving Ida D. as a widow.3
     James's obituary appeared on 17 August 1938, in the Advertiser Tribune, published at Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. As listed in the obituary, James was survived by.6 He was buried on Thursday, 18 August 1938 in the Omar Cemetery, located at Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio.3
     James's obituary appeared on 25 August 1938, in the Bloomville Gazette, published at Bloomville, Seneca County, Ohio. As listed in the obituary, James was survived by, his wife, Ida D. Dimm, his daughter, Pauline V. Corfman.6
