     Clifton Herbert Detterman and Irene Detterman were divorced.2
     Clifton Herbert died of injuries from an automobile accident on 19 March 1942 in the Mercy Hospital, located at Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio, at age 32 leaving Irene as a widow.1

Leon was employed as a Retail Merchant and owned a Clothing Store.7 He was listed in the obituary of Ida Gilson on 5 March 1942, in the Lake Odessa Wave, published at Lake Odessa, Ionia County, Michigan, as a surviving son.8
     At age 55, Leon Thomas Gilson married second Grace May McCartney, age 48, daughter of William Henry McCartney and May Eva Cornell, on Thursday, 4 November 1943 at Methodist Parsonage, Lake Odessa, Ionia County, Michigan.5
     Leon Thomas died on 4 March 1977 at Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, at age 89 leaving Grace May as a widow.5,3,4
