     The 1930 US Census enumerated him as William C. Strobeck (given age 68), the head of household Seneca Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 3 April 1930. Also living in the household were his wife, Amanda J. Strobeck (given age 65), his sister-in-law, Stella I. Payne (given age 68) .8
     William C. died on 29 March 1942 at Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan, at age 80.1

     Dr. John R. Dodge was born on Sunday, 2 January 1842 at Pennsylvania.1,2
     At age 28, Dr. John R. Dodge married Lois Cornelia Strobeck, daughter of John William Strobeck and Eliza Buck, on Thursday, 31 March 1870 at Medina, Lenawee County, Michigan.1
     The 1870 US Census enumerated him as J. R. Dodge (given age 27), the head of household Medina, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 4 August 1870. Nelia L. Dodge (given age 17) was listed as a household member. J. was employed as a Physician.3
     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as John R. Dodge (given age 39), the head of household Medina, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 24 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Cornelia Dodge (given age 26), his son, Eusebues W. Dodge, his daughter, Carrie W. Dodge . John was employed as a Doctor.3
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as John R. Dodge (given age 56), the head of household at 14 North Church Street, Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 6 June 1900.
