Evelyn Helen Chase was born on Wednesday, 4 August 1920 at Maple Rapids, Clinton County, Michigan.1
Her family moved to Lake Odessa in 1924. After graduating from Lake Odessa High School, she attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and went on to teach music at a Muskegon area school for several years. Sometime during WWII she moved back to Lake Odessa and worked for her parents at the Lake Theatre.1
At age 27, Evelyn Helen Chase married Charles Hale McCartney, age 34, son of William Cornell McCartney and Vera May Figg, on Monday, 31 May 1948 at Lake Odessa, Ionia County, Michigan.1
Evelyn Helen died on 7 August 1994 at age 74.1
