     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as Joseph Miner (given age 22), the head of household at 155 Main Street, Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 9 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Mary Miner (given age 26), his son, Joseph Miner (given age 3) . Joseph was employed as a Laborer.2
     The 1910 US Census enumerated him as Joseph Miner (given age 36), the head of household at 15 Water Street, Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 15 April 1910. Also living in the household were his wife, Mary Miner (given age 38), his son, Joseph Miner Jr. (given age 13) . Joseph was employed as a Crane Operator in a Valve Shop.3
     The 1920 US Census enumerated him as Joseph Miner (given age 44), the head of household Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 30 January 1920. Also living in the household were his wife, Mary Miner (given age 48), his son, Joseph Miner (given age 22) . Joseph was employed as a Crane Operator in a Valve Shop.4
     The 1930 US Census enumerated him as Joseph Miner, the head of household at Mountain Road, Wilbraham, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 26 April 1930. Also living in the household were his wife, Mary Miner (given age 56) . Joseph was employed as a Laborer in a Garage.5

     At age 18, Moses Sherman Jr. married Sarah Sherman, age 24, daughter of Samuel Sherman and Annah Congdon, on Thursday, 22 September 1774 at North Kingstown, Washington County, Colony of Rhode Island, British America, (now Rhode Island).1
     The 1782 Rhode Island Census enumerated him as Moses Sherman Jr., the head of household at Exeter, Washington County, Rhode Island, in 1782. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household: Samuel Sherman, a free white male, age newborn to 16 years old, Sarah Sherman, a free white female, ages twenty-two to fifty years of age. Moses Sherman was listed as a neighbor.3
     The 1790 US Census enumerated him as Moses Sherman Jun. (given age 16+), the head of household Exeter, Washington County, Rhode Island, on 2 August 1790. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household: Samuel Sherman, a free white male under 16 years old, Sarah Sherman, a free white female. Moses Sherman was listed as his neighbor.4
     The 1800 US Census enumerated him as Moses Sherman Jun. (given age 45+), the head of household at Washington Township, Washington County, Rhode Island, on 1 June 1800. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household:, Sarah Sherman, a free white female, over forty-five years of age. Samuel Sherman was listed as a neighbor.5
     Moses died in 1828. He was buried in 1828 in the Old Sherman Burial Ground, located at Exeter, Washington County, Rhode Island.6

     At age 21, William Henry Sherman married Martha Schofield, age 16, daughter of John Schofield and Sarah Phyllis Plumbstead, on Sunday, 13 May 1849 at Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island.3,4
     The 1870 US Census enumerated him as Wm. H. Sherman (given age 43), the head of household at Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 14 June 1870. Martha Sherman (given age 37), Nellie M. Sherman (given age 17), Ida F. Sherman (given age 14), Minnie W. Sherman (given age 12), Mary M. Sherman (given age 3), Carrie E. Sherman (given age 1) and Claris Sherman (given age 1) were listed as household members. Wm. was employed as a Stationary Engineer.5
     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as Wm. H. Sherman (given age 53), the head of household at 21 Mullberry Street, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 6 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Martha Sherman (given age 47), his daughters, Helisa M. Sherman (given age 27), Ida F. Sherman (given age 25), Minnie W. Sherman (given age 22), M. Maud Sherman (given age 13), Carrie Emily Sherman (given age 11), Clarice Edith Sherman (given age 11) and Sarah M. Sherman (given age 9) . Wm. was an Engineer.6,7
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as William H. Sherman (given age 73), the head of household at 85 Prospect Street, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 5 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Martha Sherman (given age 67), his daughters, Minnie M. Sherman (given age 42) and Carrie E. Sherman (given age 31) . William was a Stationary Engineer.8
     William Henry died on 19 July 1900 Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 73.9
