     Thaddeus Newton began military service circa 1776 at Massachusetts. He served in Burt's Company, Guards, Massachusetts Militia, Revolutionary War.3
     His wife, Jane, died say 1776 at Worcester, Worcester County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, British America, (now Massachusetts), leaving Thaddeus as a widower. She is said to have died during the Revolutionary War.4
     Thaddeus Newton married second Sally Belcher, daughter of Reuben Bump.
     The 1790 US Census enumerated him as Thaddeus Newton (given age 16+), the head of household at Dummerston, Windham County, Vermont, on 2 August 1790. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household: Sally Newton, a free white female. Charles Newton was listed as his neighbor.5
     The 1800 US Census enumerated him as Thaddeus Newton (given age 45+), the head of household at Jericho, Chenango County, New York, on 4 August 1800. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household:, Sally Newton, a free white female, over forty-five years of age. Charles Newton (given age 26-45) was listed as a neighbor.6
     The 1810 US Census enumerated him as Thadeus Newton (given age 45+), the head of household Jericho, Chenango County, New York, on 6 August 1810. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household:, Sally Newton, a free white female, over forty-five years of age. Charles Newton (given age 26-45) was listed as a neighbor.7
     Thaddeus died on 30 August 1812 at Bainbridge, Chenango County, New York, at age 67.
     Thaddeus Newton has died intestate and Sally Newton has been named administrator of his estate. She has been issued letters of administration on 16 September 1812 Jericho, Chenango County, New York.8

     At age 21, Jonas Newton married Tryphenia Pond, age 16 on Thursday, 15 December 1785.
     The 1790 US Census enumerated him as Jonas Newton, the head of household living alone at Hubbardston, Worcester County, Massachusetts, on 2 August 1790.1

     Molly Holbrook was born on Wednesday, 11 April 1753.
     Molly Holbrook married Phineas Newton Jr., son of Phineas Newton Sr. and Abigail Drury, in 1778.
     Molly died in 1790.

Moses Cleveland

     Moses Cleveland was born on Wednesday, 6 May 1778 at Medway, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.
     At age 21, Moses Cleveland married Molly Newton, age 19, daughter of Phineas Newton Jr. and Molly Holbrook, on Tuesday, 25 February 1800 Medway, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.
     Moses died on 2 April 1851 at Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut, at age 72.
