     Christian Wilhelm Enzie was born on Sunday, 5 March 1876 at Freudental, Odessa, Russia.2 He emigrated in 1890 to at Bremen, Germany.
     Christian Wilhelm Enzie arrived at the Port of New York at New York City, New York County, New York, aboard the SS Leipzig on 7 April 1890.3 He was naturalized in 1900.
     At age 25, Christian Wilhelm Enzie married Isabelle Carrie Denton, age 23, daughter of Joseph Wickes Denton and Sarah Amanda McCartney, on Wednesday, 11 September 1901 at Dansville, Livingston County, New York.1
     The 1910 US Census enumerated him as William C. Enzie (given age 34), the head of household Dansville, Livingston County, New York, on 28 April 1910. Also living in the household were his wife, Carrie B. Enzie (given age 32), his son, Walter D. Enzie (given age 5), his daughter, Genevieve M Enzie (given age 2) . William was a Farmer.4
     The 1920 US Census enumerated him as William Enzie (given age 43), the head of household at 20 Elizabeth Street, Dansville, Livingston County, New York, on 6 January 1920. Also living in the household were his wife, Carrie Enzie (given age 41), his sons, Walter D.
