     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as George Welch (given age 29), the head of household at Chesterfield Township, Fulton County, Ohio, on 14 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Priscilla D. Welch (given age 34), his sons, William B. Welch (given age 6) and Lewis B. Welch (given age 2) . George was employed as a farm laborer.³
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as George Welch (given age 48), the head of household at Fairfield Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 2 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Prisilla D. Welch (given age 53), his sons, Wiliam B. Welch (given age 26) and Lewis B. Welch (given age 22), his daughter, Mary A. Welch (given age 18) . George was employed as a day laborer.⁴
     The 1910 US Census enumerated him as George A. Welch (given age 56), the head of household at Fairfield Townshihp, Lenawee County, Michigan, on 19 April 1910. Also living in the household were his wife, Priscilla D. Welch (given age 63), his son, Lewis B. Welch (given age 32) . George was employed as a farm laborer.⁵
     His wife, Priscilla, died on 15 September 1919 at Kunkle, Williams County, Ohio, at age 72, leaving George Albert as a widower.^1,2 He was listed as the father-in-law of Edwin Van Sickle (given age 51) on the 1920 Census recorded 2 January 1920 at Madison Township, Williams County, Ohio.⁶
     The 1930 US Census enumerated him as George Welch (given age 77), the head of household Kunkle, Williams County, Ohio, on 2 April 1930. Also living in the household was, his son, Lewis E. Welch (given age 45). George was employed as a laborer at odd jobs.⁷
     George Albert died of George was a retired farmer on 26 August 1934 at Pioneer, Williams County, Ohio, at age 82.^1,2
