     James Moyer was born on Friday, 12 May 1848 at Pennsylvania.1
     James Moyer married Eunice Thompson, daughter of Thomas Thompson and Lucretia Lake, say 1870.
     The 1880 US Census enumerated him as James Moyer (given age 31), the head of household at Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio, on 22 June 1880. Also living in the household were his wife, Eunice Moyer (given age 27), his son, J. Perry Moyer (given age 8), his daughters, Carrie L. Moyer (given age 10), Edith B. Moyer (given age 3) and Eunice M. Moyer (given age 1), his mother-in-law, Lucretia Thompson (given age 65) . James was employed in a Feed Stable.2
     The 1900 US Census enumerated him as James Mayer (given age 51), the head of household at 1417 Factory Street, Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio, on 6 June 1900. Also living in the household was his wife, Eunice Mayer (given age 47), his sons, Ralph H. Moyer, Edwin V. Mayer (given age 12), Jack Mayer (given age 9) and Mack Mayer (given age 3), his daughters, Edith M. Mayer (given age 23) and Helen L. Mayer (given age 9) . James was employed as a Junk Dealer.3
     The 1910 US Census enumerated him as James Moyer (given age 64), the head of household at 622½ Main Street, Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio, on 23 April 1910. Also living in the household were his wife, Eunice Moyer (given age 57), his sons, Jack E. Moyer (given age 19) and Mack Moyer (given age 13), his daughter, Helen Moyer (given age 16) .4
     James died on 5 June 1916 in the Lucas County Hospital, located at Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, at age 68 leaving Eunice as a widow.1 James Moyer (given age 68y 23d) was buried on Monday, 5 June 1916 Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio.1
