     Luther Niell Shroder was born on Saturday, 13 September 1879 at Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland.1,2
     Luther Niell Shroder married Mable B. Dimm, daughter of William D. Dimm and Nannie S. Slosser, say 1904. Luther M. Shroder (given age 30) was listed as the son-in-law of William Dimm (given age 52) on the 1910 Census recorded 22 April 1910 at 322 South Jefferson Street, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.3
     Luther Niell Shroder (given age 38) registered for the World War I civilian draft on 12 September 1918, while residing at 1117 West North Street, Lima, Allen County, Ohio. Mable B. Shroder was named as his nearest relative. Luther was employed as a Salesman for G.H. Hammond of Union Stock Yards, Chicago, Ill.2
     The 1920 US Census enumerated him as Luther N. Shroder (given age 40), the head of household at 118 Cole Street, Lima, Allen County, Ohio, on 8 January 1920. Also living in the household were his wife, Mabel D. Shroder (given age 36), his son, Niell L. Shroder (given age 13) . Luther was employed as a Commercial Traveler for a Fixtures Agency.4
     The 1930 US Census enumerated him as Luther N. Shroder (given age 50), the head of household at 857 North High Street, Lima, Allen County, Ohio, on 16 April 1930. Also living in the household were his wife, Mabel Shroder (given age 46), his son, L. Niell Shroder (given age 22) . Luther was employed as a Commercial Traveler for a Wholesale Meat Company.5
     His wife, Mabel, died on 7 December 1932 at Lima, Allen County, Ohio, at age 49, leaving Luther Niell as a widower.1
     Luther Niell died on 21 May 1950 at Greenville, Darke County, Ohio, at age 70.1 He was buried on Tuesday, 23 May 1950 in the Memorial Park Cemetery, located at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.1
