The 1860 US Census enumerated him as C. E. S. Waggoner (given age 27), the head of household Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan, on 6 June 1860. Mary Jane Waggoner (given age 30), Mortimer Waggoner (given age 6), Eugenie Waggoner (given age 5), Lelia Waggoner (given age 3) and William Waggoner (given age 1 month) were listed as household members. Wm. Thompson (given age 42) was listed as his neighbor. C. was employed as a Wagon Maker.3
Cyrus Edward died on 28 September 1864 at age 32 leaving Mary Jane as a widow.
